What Are The Things Little Girls Are Made Of?
Posted on September 6, 2009
As you already know, I come from a big family–lots of kids, a lot of which are girls. I am not stranger to different personalities.
One of my nieces, Princess S*, I call her sometimes, is a girly girl. She is all ribbons and giggles. But she is also very attached to my sister Marina. They are the best of friends and cannot live without each other very long. All I can say is: I wish I had a relationship with an aunt like this… I wish I had an aunt like my sister.
Marina brings S* over after church almost every weekend. They go out together, have ice cream, and, sometimes, bring home a movie to watch together. Then they pull out a couch into the middle of the living room and lounge until: 1. the movie is over, 2. one of them dozes off, or 3. our little Ms. S* gets bored. When that happens, she comes and finds me, trying to get attention in a very subtle way, as was the case a couple of weeks ago. This time, however, I decided to cave in and give her what she asked for–ATTENTION… with my camera in toe
Camera made S* extra wiggly and extra giggly.
Can you believe the love between the two of them? Makes me all gooey inside just looking at this image.
My sister is away now, traveling the world (Israel, Greece, Germany, and I am not sure whatever else), so, when she gets back home, I am sure they would have missed each other a whole lot. There will a lot more smiles, ice cream outings, giggles and wiggles.
