I wish you all a Fulfilling New Year! In the words of an Old Irish Blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
I would like to thank all of my wonderful clients for allowing me to be a part of their wonderful lives and events. I would also love to thank all of my blog readers for their time and trust. And, most of all I am thankful to my Lord for giving me a wonderful husband, family, friends and clients, as well as zeal for life.
Happy New Year!

I love having technology to help me. But there are times, I must admit, that I have been tempted to toss things out the window.
A couple of days ago my printer/scanner had decided to get a mind of its own and not work. No matter what I did I kept getting an error. The war was on and I knew I was not going to lose it. 20 minutes and inky fingers later I had it working. The ink, however, would not come off my fingers for a couple of days. Imagine walking around with blackened finger nails… NOT cool, especially when I need to meet with clients.
Unfortunately, with all modern advancements, it looks like the love/hate relationship will have to go on… and on… and on…

I’ve learned that in life it’s the little things that matter most sometimes. When my husband shows his love for me I don’t look for a cruise or a diamond ring–I would take a hug, a gaze into my eyes, a dance in the rain and an “I love you” from him much faster than any big gift. It’s the way he looks at me, caresses my face, holds my hand in his, and intertwines our fingers while driving. Happiness comes in small packages, but pays big dividends.
One of those little things, believe it or not, are my tweezers. Yep, the ones you use on your eyebrows.

See the problem with mine is that once in a while they get a mind of their own and disappear. I end up searching for them high and low [can't have bushy eyebrows, you know
]. Eventually I do find them, tucked away in a “man” place–a place that only a guy could think of putting them. And that guy is my husband.
No, he is not plucking his eyebrows–they are perfect the way they are. However, once in a while he gets a lonely grey hair in his beard [shhhhh... it's a secret
!], and no man wants that! So, he makes his way into my make up bag, turns it upside down [literally] looking for the tweezers, and once he uses them he decides to put them somewhere where he can find them quicker. The problem is that he just as quickly forgets where that is. So, it becomes a hiding place for the tweezers, and a torture for me.
A couple of days ago, instead of continuing to wage the “war of tweezers” we made a pact–I will place tweezers on the side of my make up bag so he can easily find them. Much to my delight he quickly agreed.

This morning, however, it was me who forgot about our agreement. I opened the bag and shuffled through it. I could not find the tweezers. I went through the usual “man” places and still could not find them. And then it dawned on me–they are still hanging on the side of my bag, where they should be.
So, since it is the little things that bring happiness in life, I must admit that I am happy. I am happy I found my tweezers and that my hubby stuck to our agreement and kept it there.
Happy Monday to all from your Dublin OH and Columbus OH Senior and Wedding Photographer.

I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E Christmas. No, not because of gifts or shopping, or any other craziness, but because we get to celebrate the greatest person in the Universe, the love of my life [yes, that He is]–my God, Jesus! See, ever since I accepted Him as my God my heart has been overflowing with love. There has been a lot of shaping and molding of my personality and character; some tears along the way, but every day I fall in love with Him more and more for the wonderful things He did for me–namely: coming into this world as a little babe, then dying a horrible death on the cross for me, resurrecting from the dead and all of that so I could have a better life. Is there a better gift than that in the world? Don’t think so! So, I got my gift through that already.
I also love Christmas because I get to spend time with wonderful friends and family and even make a few new friends along the way.
Last week hubby and I were invited to an international Christmas dinner at our dear friends’ house. They had invited over 30 international students from a local university to their house to celebrate Christmas.

the flash did not go off on my P&S, so the image is a little shaky
We got to meet a few VERY bright people from a couple of different countries.

"Sofia" our new friend from China

we even ran into an old college friend at the party-Carl [with his lovely wife
A few days later, after celebrating Christmas at home and having a friend over for Christmas Day brunch we were pleasantly surprised by an invitation to yet another friend's house. We ate, talked and played "The Mexican Train" game for nearly 4 hours! [if you never played the game YOU MUST! it's a load of fun!]

I hope everyone had as great of a Christmas as we did. And I wish everyone a HAPPY, WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!
