My hubby surprised me with a 3rd day of my birthday celebration by showing up with a pretty bouquet of roses, a big balloon and the sweetest card. ”Why?” would you ask? Because life is beautiful and too short not to celebrate it as often and as long as possible

Later we set up for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner with a couple of new friends. Why? Because life is too precious to keep it to yourself.
Enjoy your beautiful life. Celebrate it and share it with someone.

Hubby and I started celebrating my b-day a couple of days early.
[all images in this post were taken with a point and shoot camera]

Early in the morning he drove me to a spa:

It was perfect time to relax. I enjoyed my massage, while he waited for me in the lobby. I looked only a little sleepy after the massage

It was freezing cold outside and we were hungry, so we went to one of our favorite joints to grab a couple of veggie burgers. I got to playing around with image perspective and we created the fearsome couple
After lunch we went to Half Price bookstore in Dublin OH [have I told you how much we like to read?!]
and then off to watch The King’s Speech.
The movie was fabulous! [save a few choice words, but they were forgivable in the context of the movie] and I would watch it again. The actors did a SUPERB job! And who would have thought that they would bring 3 actors from one of my favorite movies together again?! [Lizzy, Mr. Darcy, and Lizzy's preacher cousin from the original BBC Pride and Prejudice]. I secretly wished that the “Lizzy” played the king’s wife again, but I was not at all disappointed by Helena Bonham Carter’s performance.

On the way home we stopped by Whole Foods where I met a friendly cow, whom I shall name Ginger. She was a sweet creature and a friendly one at that… Unfortunately she was out by a sign [you see only a corner of it on the left side] which advertised their specialty stake ;(

I gave Ginger a promise not to eat her or her young ones, or take their milk from them. Ginger was very happy
It was a fabulous day and it is not over yet. My love is preparing tea and dessert for me now and I can’t wait to wrap up this wonderful day with him. The celebrations will continue for the next two days!!!

I finished a huge time sensitive task ahead of time today. It feels GOOD! I am done and there is nothing hanging over my shoulder. I love that feeling! Now I can relax.
To celebrate I browsed through last year’s wedding images, in preparation for updating my web-site, and came across an absolute jewel–a photo of my October Bride Amy!

The image was taken right after the ceremony, and right before the last rays of sun disappeared into the evening sky. As day was giving way to night, Amy’s eyes looked breathtaking. I still cannot get over how blue and beautiful they are.

Each wedding I photograph has its magic moments. My favorite moments, however, at all times, are those when the bride and the groom can be themselves and be happy about their amazing day. Here’s an example:
I stole away Amy and AJ to take pictures of just the two of them. When the time came to focus on AJ he lived it up and became very comfortable in front of the camera–my favorite kind of client!
I LOVE, LOVE the second image. It’s these “magic” moments that set the tone for the rest of the day.
