Here are a few more pictures from Seattle model shoot. Tyler is an amazingly calm and smily baby. Anne and Nick are really blessed to have such a beautiful little girl.

There are days when I wake up feeling a bit moody, with no explanation. In the past I used to try to change my mood, but eventually I learned that I simply need to embrace some of what I feel and flow with it, hoping that something good might come out of it by the end of the day. Now, that does not mean that if I feel angry I allow myself to be angry. I am talking about those days when I wake up feeling a bit “blue”. Maybe you have not had a day like that, but I had my share. Today was one of those days.

I woke up next to my wonderful husband-a source of my continual inspiration. Everything was well. I am not sure whether it was Washington weather that was getting to me, but I felt that my soul started to sing the blues from the moment I got up.

My nephew Slava was supposed to be coming to visit with us. After a quick workout we got home and I busied myself in the kitchen, making chili and blueberry muffins. The “blues” was not living my soul though. Finally, I gave into the urge to express it somehow. I threw chopped onions in the pot and yelled out to Demetrye: “Put your hoody on and get by the window.” He tried to protest and find out what I wanted, but by then there was no reasoning with me. I grabbed my 40D as quickly as I could and rushed into the living room. After spending only a few seconds giving Demetrye orders on what to do, I fired a few shots. He was getting a bit impatient-he decided he was hungry, so I had taken only about 10 shots altogether. Thankfully, he had become very aware of what I look for and gave me what I needed in less than 2 minutes.

After Slava left I got behind my PC. Here is how I felt today.

(Post-processing was very easy: a quick boost in curves, a few layers of textures in Multiply or Overlay modes and Sharperning.)

Yesterday we finally moved into our new abode… While Demetrye was at work, on his 12 hour shift (crazy, I know) I called up my brothers and nephews, and one of my brothers-in-law, and they helped me move all of our belongings (thank God for a large family-they eliminate the need to rent a U-haul truck). By the time Demetrye got off work I even had cable and Internet hooked up (hooray for me–now I feel connected to the rest of the world again).

Today we will unpack, and, hopefully, relax as the evening rolls around. Considering my circumstances, I had no chance to process any pictures from last week, so I am taking one from Jason of Ella Blue Studio. You can see more pictures of my handsome husband by clicking on the link.
