When my nephews were visiting a few weeks ago, they thought it would be so-o-o-o much fun to take this photo of Maxim and Demetrye…
The picture reminds me of a song:

Ebony And Ivory
Live Together In Perfect Harmony
Side By Side On My Piano Keyboard
Oh Lord, Why Don’t We?
We All Know
That People Are The Same Wherever You Go
There Is Good And Bad In Ev’ryone,
We Learn To Live,
We Learn To Give Each Other
What We Need To Survive Together Alive.

Have a great day, everyone! And remember to find something to smile about today.

A local organization (Victory Center) and the Church of Truth, whose primary target is to reach the broken and the destitute, have recently lost their “home” and are now looking to find a new one. The two , along with Mountain Ministries have joined forces to help homeless and those bound by addiction to find freedom through personal relationship with Christ. While statistics show that relapse percentage is high among drug and alcoholic addicts, Mountain Ministries’ approach has shown a 70% and higher success rate. I, wholeheartedly, believe that causes like this one should be supported at all cost.

A new building, that will be suitable for use by these organizations, has been found and they are now looking to raise funds to purchase it. Here is a picture of it.
They will be hosting a Silent Auction this Saturday to raise funds at Columbia Height Assembly of God’s youth building, the Salvage Yard, at 3609 Columbia Heights Rd., Longview, WA 98632. If you are unable to come, but still would like to donate, please follow instructions on their auction page. You can also bid on-line. A session with Elena Photographers (us) is listed among many wonderful things. It is a win-win situation. Please consider helping.

Have a great rest of the week!!!

Demetrye had a few days off, so we made reservations at a resort at Depoe Bay, OR. The weather, unfortunately, did not cooperate with us, so we spent most of our time indoors and at a spa. However, everything else was perfect. I was able to completely disconnect from the “real world” and enjoy every moment we had together.

My wonderful Mom came along with us. She spent her time reading, knitting and taking long baths… after spending at least an hour at a spa each day. Mom and Demetrye got along just fine…

And when Mom took a moment to look in the window and saw something beautiful she would send me out with my camera to take a picture…
She even braved the cold weather and went outside to watch seagulls.
This pair makes me happy at all times. Two of my favorite people in the entire world…
Mom listened to Demetrye read an article from Forbes, even though she could not understand him…
I love her hands… They are so comforting, loving and beautiful.
A couple more pictures of yesterday’s sunset.
