As I was finishing a session from last week, I came across a few more of my favorite maternity images. Check them out.
Have to love their sense of humor!!!

From that to SUPERMODELS!
How gorgeous are they?!
Who knew that Whitney and Matt would be such awesome models! They were born to do this

I have a ton more I could share, but I will leave some to surprise the beautiful couple with.
Now it is time to get ready for two more wonderful sessions this weekend.
Have an amazing day!

I woke up today, very slightly worried that the weather will force us to cancel a maternity session that I have been anticipating for a long time. The gorgeous couple, Whitney and Matt, I was going to photograph was driving in all the way from Seattle WA to Longview WA and it made me sick to my stomach to think that we would have to reschedule. When Demetrye [my hubby] saw my concern he tried to calm my fears: “It will be alright, baby,” he said and then prayed for the rain not to come. Thank God his prayers were heard. The weather was fabulous! It was overcast, no sun, but no rain either [although I went out and bought the biggest umbrella I could find in town].
While I am getting ready for my next session today, I picked out a few of my favorite shots from the maternity shoot [it's all about bellies
] and wanted to share them with the world and with the happy couple. Matt and Whitney will make the sweetest parents–they are both so kind, gentle and nothing but smiles. [Guys, you were such a pleasure to work with!]
Enjoy!

Matt was great making hearts with his hands

Can you say H-O-T?! The picture don’t measure up though to how fabulous this couple really is! I wish you all the best, Matt and Whitney! Can’t wait to work on the rest of your session and then, one day, to see your little miracle.

I have been toiling over processing images and placing orders today. To get my creative juices flowing I picked one of my favorite images from the last maternity session and totally completed it. It is as breathtaking as its surroundings.
I can feel the love flowing through my screen.

[If you have not yet seen a preview of Megan's maternity shoot at the Willow Grove, WA this weekend yet, make sure to drop by there first. ]
I personally think there is something absolutely angelic about pregnant women. They don’t only carry a new life in them, but they go through pain and struggle to bring that life into the world. Their bodies change–they are happy; they go through discomfort [just imagine not being able to sleep any which way you might want to for months or not being able to tie your own shoes!]–they are happy; they go through labor and pain for hours–yet they are still happy. All for the sake of bringing another life into this world.
So, when it comes to maternity photography I don’t believe in boring. I believe in celebrating the beauty of it. Even with swollen feet and expanded waistline
It is all absolutely gorgeous to me.
Megan is a beautiful woman to start with. Pregnancy made her glow. Check it out for yourself.

We met at the Willow Grove beach. What I loved was the stark comparison between the baren land and the life inside Megan.

Byron, bless his heart, had the hardest time at the bright, sunny beach, but was a natural in front of the camera when we came to their house. This is one of my favorite image of the two three of them.
Like I said, pregnancy images should be anything but boring. Check out this hot sizzling Momma! Megan=GORGEOUS! And the belly is super beautiful.
Megan & Byron, thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an important event in your life. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the images from the shoot, and see little Harlow grace us with her presence. I am sure she will be as beautiful as the both of you are.
