Washington is an amazing state-one day it is sunny, the next it rains, and the day after you get both, rain, sun and then some [hail and snow]. Sunday was no exception, at least not for Washington. That is what makes being a photographer here so interesting–you can’t predict the weather. The best you can do is work with it.
Interestingly enough my gorgeous Kelso High School Senior Makayla actually referred rain to sunshine for the session. She wanted something different, something unusual. Well, she got it! It was raining on the day her session took place. However, it did make images more fun!
Here are a few of my favorite images from the session. [Makayla, you were amazing to work with!]
Too beautiful for words! I could not help myself but to add this image to the post. [Who said that Senior Photography has to be boring?!

Makayla, you are amazingly beautiful. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. I also cannot wait to show you the rest of your amazing images.
Your Longview and Kelso WA senior photographer signing off

I have been gone quite a bit in the last several weeks. Life has a way to get us caught up in the whirlwind of everyday tasks and responsibilities. However, I am so excited, because I am pulling my creative juices back out–I have several sessions lined up in the next few weeks, and I cannot wait to do and blog them. They will vary from Senior Photography, to Family Portrait Photography, to Maternity Sessions. Just unbelievable!
I have amazing clients and for that I am grateful!
If you are looking for a photographer in Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock, Kalama, Woodland or Vancouver area, call me up! I am so revved up and excited about Spring and overflowing with creativity that is begging to be expressed.

Hello beautiful people! I had a wonderful session with a gorgeous Kelso High School senior today [Kelso, WA]. It was cold, and it was raining, but when you see these images you will never believe it.
Zarina came to meet me early today. We did her hair, make up, went through her outfits and headed out for a rainy session. Zarina is absolutely gorgeous–she looks like she came off of the pages of a magazine. But she is also absolutely brilliant. She already picked out a college to go to and will major in Arts.
Here are a few of my favorite images from our session.
Love the colors: red, white and blue!
The shoes were quite something! Just look at them.
Looking like a supermodel [which she is in my book].
The outfit on the image below looks absolutely amazing and it was our spur-of-the-moment creation. Doesn’t it belong in a fashion magazine?
And then we went a little retro with the scarf. Just watch–we will bring it back and make it popular again.
Zarina, you were a trooper to weather the cold and a joy to work with. My your path lay straight before you!

Yesterday was a very productive and fun day. Demetrye and I just came back from a short vacation at Seaside, OR, and immediately dove into our crazy routine–we did not only work on remodeling the house, but I also shot a senior session. And what a special session it was indeed.
You see, Alex, my Vancouver WA Senior, is also my nephew. I remember him literally from the day he was born. I still hold it over his head that I had to change his diapers on more than one occasion. But, perhaps, I should leave such details for another time and place
.
Today was a bit nippy outside and both, Alex and I, felt like we froze not only our hands, but our faces. Alex finally got to a point when he asked me to get into the warmth of the car to defrost. I was more than happy to oblige.
So, here are a few of my favorites from the session.
By the end of his session Alex was a pro at posing. You could never tell that he is an amateur model
.
Sasha, as your life unfolds in front of you, I know that you will remember to take charge of it and place it before Him, who you know called you from your birth! I dearly love you
[see, I can say that on my blog--he is my blood
].
